Leilani Sanchez found that the “intimate, special feeling” of off-the-grid Brooklyn boutiques was what was missing from Miami’s shopping scene. “All we saw down here were stark, white spaces and super high-end stuff.” Her new project MIMO Market (Miami Inspires Modern Originality) caters to a local crowd in the burgeoning Wynwood neighborhood – where art galleries and coffee shops sit comfortably away from the craziness of South Beach. Sanchez says, “We want people to feel like they can pick up a great dress for $50, in a laidback setting… that’s an experience we were missing down here.”

A white shoe is very Miami. There’s just a hint of silver sparkle on the top of this shoe that I love. It’s a cool update to a classic design.
I love these kelly green slip-ons. The texture is beautiful. These are the kind of shoes that really are the star of the outfit. With that pop of green on your feet, everyone is going to see that first.
I come from a corporate background and wore heels every day. Now that I own my own business, I’m fully enjoying the opportunity to wear sneakers.
