Great lace kit plus video on relacing technique

Watch the great video Sperry provides on relacing! Sorry if some of this is obvious. But it wasn't all obvious to me when I started. Like they say, cut the end of the lace at an angle. But cut it at a shallow angle so there's enough lace thin enough to thread into the end of the needle. Twist the needle while pushing on the lace to feed it in. It's like twisting a nut into a bolt (not threading a sewing needle). Yes, it takes some work to bend the top edge of the shoe so the needle will fit through the eyelets. Had to bend the shoe enough so the eyelets lined up. Ideally it would be a straight line between the eyelets and you could look in one eyelet and see out the other. That's not gonna happen tho. But you need to get them lined up enough with the needle so it'll fit through them. One eyelet on mine was already a little loose so I had to be REALLY careful not to push/pull that eyelet out. Once the needle is through the second eyelet, pull on the lace to bring the rest of it through. Don't pull on the needle like a sewing needle. Didn't want to find out how hard you had to pull for the lace to detach from the end of the needle. If you want the same 'side' of the lace (shiny or rough) to show along the shoe, make sure the lace isn't twisting when it goes through. Or just slide the lace back and forth through eyelets while twisting the lace to untwist it.
