No, no, no, again. See my original review of April 17, 2017. I sent my shoes back to Sperry. The package included a written explanation of the problem, photos of the problem, and shoes for Sperry to inspect. They sent back a pair of shoes with the EXACT same problem. There was no explanation, no communication, nothing but a second pair of clearly defective shoes. I can only wonder what is going on there. The metal emblem still strikes the ground and leaves permanent scratches in hardwood and vinyl and it catches on carpet fibers ripping them. These are deck shoes and if you wear them on a boat deck it will ruin it. This is a serious flaw that Sperry apparently is unable to recognize or is unwilling to repair. Luckily, my hobby is knife making and I have some wonderful equipment at my disposal. I was able to grind the emblems down enough that they are now below the sole of the shoe. If you have the equipment and ability to do the same, these shoes are nice but otherwise I cannot recommend them. Sperry’s lack of commitment and inability to recognize and repair some of their most expensive shoes has lost them a lifelong customer. I would post pictures of the problem and my solution but Sperry's website will not allow more than one picture

Why change from the old style i bouGht this shoe because it was new and updated and they didn't have my size in the older style gold cup amaretto. I have to wear a Lift in one shoe and the lift worked "PERFECTLY" with my old gold cups (had them for nearly 10 years!!!!), but not with these. The way the heel is constructed with the Raised tabs made even both feet slide out of the shoes, and i even bought a half size smaller than the previous ones i had. Also, like other reviewers, i don't understand the point of the gold emblem stickIng out on the bottom of the shoe. I could hear it touch my "hardwood" Floors from time to time. With the wearing down of the sole over time, it was only a matter of time before the floor would end up scratched. Also, for a two eye, the laces Were way...too...long!! Even though you cOuld cut them, they were still too...long! i ended up sending this pair Back and located anoTher pair of the older style. The older style sole is not "nearly" as stiff as the new style and the leather seems softer in the older style. Please do not stop making the oLder style with the rounded Heel cup!

Poor construction Very sad to see the quality go down the drain. Soles squeak bad. Sperry, for this price range, your shoes shouldn't squeak and pop. Will go for another brand now.
