NO NO NO! I’ve worn Amaretto Gold Cups to work 5 days a week, every week, for the last 10 years. They are the only shoe I wear to the office. The good part is they are insanely comfortable and last a long time. It’s like wearing slippers to work that wear like work boots. They are not cheap but I feel like you get what you pay for and since I wear these 5 days a week I feel like I get fair value from them. That’s the good part. Now here’s the not so good. I replace the worn-out pair every 2½ years or so and it seems that Sperry always must make some changes to the shoes in the interim. I don’t know why Sperry can’t leave a good thing alone. When you have a superior product why change it? This time Sperry made a change I can’t believe. The shoes have non-marking soles and that’s great. But the changes Sperry made to the soles this time are unacceptable. There are metal emblems with the Sperry Logo that attached to the sole of each shoe. These emblems stick out about an eighth of an inch from the soles and when I walk, they strike the ground or whatever surface I walk on. They permanently scratch hardwood, vinyl floors, and boat decks. What good are non-marking soles when you have metal emblems that scratch the hell out of the floors? Not only does the emblem scratch floors, it is nearly impossible to remove. I’ve tried to pry them off with a screw driver but they will not come off. I’m going to try a grinder on them tonight. I’ve included a picture I took of one of the emblems after wearing the shoes for a half hour. You can see where it sticks out and the area that is striking the ground.

Poor construction Very sad to see the quality go down the drain. Soles squeak bad. Sperry, for this price range, your shoes shouldn't squeak and pop. Will go for another brand now.
