Stained my socks + NOT slip resistant

I bought these shoes because I work in a cafe. While wearing slip resistant shoes aren't required in my workplace (no greasy floors, just wet floors that are 80% covered with rubber mats), it is recommended. I bought these shoes because (1) boat shoes are supposed to be slip-resistant for obvious reasons, plus, the description for these shoes say "Non-Marking Rubber Outsole with Wave-Siping for Ultimate Wet/Dry Traction" and (2) while they don't look exceptionally fashionable, they were my best options for non-slip [and like the previous comment said, minus the weird silver laces]. So I purchased these shoes in black, got it in the mail all excited, and despite the fact that the shoes for some reason looked really wrinkly (like they'd been washed in hot water and put in the dryer and shrunk), I shrugged it off and wore them to work. Day 1, I slipped and almost fell... Twice. I have had to walk very carefully at work, but despite that, I've been slipping and sliding everywhere. My Keds did a better job at keeping me safe from falling to the floor to be honest, and those were already pretty bad (hence my looking for slip-resistant shoes in the first place). So I gave Sperry the benefit of the doubt and told myself "maybe boat shoes are just meant for outdoor activity/not meant for wet tiled floors." So I got a new pair for work and wore my Sperry sneakers to school instead. One gloomy day (no rain, but maybe a light drizzle in the early morning), I was walking to class, and lo and behold, I slip. On the pavement. And fall right on my bottom. Good job, Sperry... To add to that, after my first day of wearing the shoes, I came home to find that they'd stained my white socks dark gray. My nude-colored no-show socks have also been stained a couple shades darker. Even after having washed the shoes, they still occasionally stain my lighter colored socks. Extremely disappointed.
