Lightly Distressed, But Nice. - by , Dec 29, 2019
5/ 5 Stars
The online image looks more polished than when arrived. I ordered 3 pair (estimating the correct size) and the leather on a 3 looked lightly scuffed and looked pre-worn. That wasn’t expected, but that look grew on me pretty fast. Interestingly, one pair painfully rubbed my ankle bone, but the other pair was perfectly comfortable. So comfortable that I ended up wearing them all day without any break in foot pain. Make sure you know what socks you’ll be using when you pick a size. If you plan on thick wool hiking socks, then order true size, regular tube socks, order 1/2 size down. These boots are made to last, but I am worried about how long the leather laces will last. Non-slip Vibram soles, Goodyear welted stitching, there’s no way any water is getting into these beautiful boots. A nice way to class up a classic casual winter duck boot.

Comfortable and solid boot - by , Jul 24, 2019

These shoes are comfortable, appear well-made, and are very attractive. I've worn them several times for motorcycle riding and in rainy weather, and they were comfortable, dry, supportive, and still look great after the beating. I'll note the original pair I ordered fitted snuggly, so I went up a size (from an 11 to a 12) and was much happier. My only complaint is that, occasionally, if I lace the tops too tightly, a little nub of leather on the tongue of the shoe can press and rub against the front of my leg.

Overall good - by , Feb 17, 2019

I’ve had these boots for just over a year, wearing exclusively during the winter months. Overall good quality, and waterproof as promised. Only issues I’ve had is some color transfer from the inside of the boot to light colored socks, and an annoyance of the shoelaces breaking. It would be nice if the replacement laces were clearer or if they didn’t break in the first place considering these are gold cup quality.

Better than L.L. Bean - by , Feb 11, 2019
4/ 5 Stars
I bought these boots after returning a pair of L.L. Bean duck boots that were both uncomfortable and had terrible grip (e.g., slipping on wet asphalt). These boots meet expectations: warm, waterproof, etc. I'd recommend them for snow, hiking, and heavy rain. They're not comfortable enough to throw on just for a light rain and they're somewhat tiring to wear all day. Grip is solid: the boots only slide on ice, and even then only slightly. The leather exterior is handsome but scuffs easily. This isn't a major problem because the boots seem to wear nicely. I've only had them ~1 month, though—we'll see what they look like in a year. The lambskin upper is exceptionally soft. It conforms to your foot and was an excellent touch.

Great looking and comfortable not waterproof - by , Oct 04, 2018
3/ 5 Stars
I like these boots. People compliment me on them. The are light weight and great for walking around town. The are however not very waterproof. I’ve used sperry’s rain sealer products and other manufacturers creams but they still leak at the seam up the back of the heal and along the bottom inside seam. I contacted sperry and they certainly didn’t make the process sound very easy to get a refund or exchange. I still wear the boots but they are useless for the purpose I purchased them for, rainy days.
