Sperry has teamed up with PLEASURES, the Los Angeles lifestyle brand, to release a footwear collaboration that reimagines Sperry’s Authentic Original boat shoe and other styles through the lens of the PLEASURES aesthetic.

 While the partnership may seem unconventional, PLEASURES co-Founder Alex James has a long relationship with Sperry.  “Growing up in New Jersey, there was a period of my life where Sperrys and cut-off jeans were my uniform. The look really caught steam in the emo/pop punk scenes of the Y2K era,” he says. 

 “PLEASURES is one of the most influential fashion lifestyle brands in the market today and I am thrilled to introduce the Sperry x PLEASURES collection,” says Sperry CMO Elizabeth Drori.  “Together we have created a capsule collection featuring the Sperry Authentic Original boat shoe re-designed as a Creeper, as well as printed Float slides, and a cozy mule that’s part SKA, part skate. Designer Alex James’ long-time connection to the Sperry brand brings authenticity to the partnership, she adds.

“We took the classic DNA of Sperry and put it through the skewed twisted lens of PLEASURES” James adds.  The Sperry x PLEASURES  collection consists of 5 SKUS: The Sperry x PLEASURES Authentic Original 3-Eye Boat Shoe features D-ring hardware and Creeper style Vibram soles is available in black or cobalt blue pony hair, both featuring unique leopard print detail made of  tiny skulls. A Captain’s Oxford comes in distressed pewter leather;  the fur-lined  Moc-Sider Mule slide features the PLEASURES logo; and the Sperry Float Slide features a punk fishnet print  in two colorways – black and cream.
