In collaboration with Palmes, we’ve given the Captain’s Oxford a luxurious makeover. This preppy classic – an icon of menswear– has been reimagined in richly textured calf leather, sitting on a Vibram mini lug sole, with traditional welted construction executed with meticulous attention to detail. Rooted in tradition but crafted for today, the Racquet Oxford is back from the 1960s vault. Palmes has put their spin on a sneaker once advertised for "the man with a slick foredeck and a lethal backhand.” Sporting a canvas upper and a classic lace-to-toe design, we promise you don't have to be a tennis pro to enjoy this instant classic style.
Recently re-released from Sperry’s 1960s archive, the Racquet Oxford sneaker was originally designed to be worn on the tennis court and offers a retro tennis aesthetic. The leather Captain's Oxford is a Sperry icon and brand staple, having been one of the first shoes designed by Paul Sperry. Both styles embody a shared ambition between Sperry and Palmes of interpreting what lies in the past through a modern lens.
